Graymont's partner in Mexico, Grupo Calidra, manufactures pulverized quicklime for special applications where consistent properties and high calcium content are required, such as the manufacture of fiberglass, glass and steel.

Currently, Calidra sells this product in Mexico and in the United States under the brand name OXID. Specialty pulverized quicklime is available in 25 kg bags, bulk bags as well as in bulk.

Specialty pulverized quicklime is produced in Grupo Calidra’s new gas-fired Maerz kiln at their ISO 9001 certified Torreon facility.
