Calgary, September 15, 2011 – A suspect in a Sparwood, BC kidnapping case was apprehended Tuesday by police in a vacant house at Graymont’s Summit Lime Plant. Graymont employees were not aware of the presence of the suspect at the plant site or how long the suspect may have been there. Graymont plant managers invited police onto the site to check out vacant buildings. Police with tracking dogs located and apprehended the suspect shortly thereafter. Police, with the full cooperation of Graymont employees, have conducted a thorough investigation of the site.
Everyone at Graymont is happy that this suspect has been apprehended and we hope that everyone in the affected families and communities can resume their normal lives.
